Cooking Tip
Whether you live alone and are cooking for one or cooking for your family, designate one day of the week when you have a few extra hours and triple your recipes for leftovers. This maximizes your efficiency and really helps when you have a busy schedule.
Invest in sturdy freezer safe storage and remember to label and date the contents so you can pull them out for reheating when you’re on the go. The labeling is crucial because you might not recognize what’s in the frozen container even a few weeks later. Might be a good idea if you’re uber organized and/or have a large freezer and items might get lost to (1) write up a list of freezer items and approximate “eat by” dates so remind you to pull them out to defrost; (2) contain similar categories in large baggies or freezer bins so you can easily find your frozen meat vs chicken vs seafood vs grains/vegetables.
