Indoor projects

It’s still cold outside, so stay indoors to get through projects you’ve put off for awhile. One by one, take the bulging files out of your file cabinet and go through the papers page by page. You’ll probably find outdated information you can throw away or shred. You might find irrelevant information as your home projects, travel plans might have happened already or completely changed. This exercise which you can chip away at in small segments (for example, 3 files a night might take only a week to complete the entire file drawer) makes room for current, relevant, important papers waiting to be filed. The vertical filing method such as a file cabinet is the most recommended by Professional Organizers for staying organized to be able to find what you need. Remember the 80/20 rule which states you probably keeping 80% more papers and files than you’ll ever need.
