ELECTRONICS RECYCLING: Newtech E-Scrap. Call Alan at 773-575-1726 or contact@ntesrecycling.com (and check out www.ntesrecycling.com) and arrange for a pickup of laptops, printers, CPU’s, camcorders, CD/DVD players, etc. They will give you a certification they’ve wiped your hard drive clean if you don’t know how to do that yourself.
EVERYTHING BUT THE HOUSE: On-line consignment marketplace. Easier than Craig’s List or E-bay because they do the work for you! They sold for me: GPS, leather boots, jewelry, point and shoot camera, political memorabilia, purse, watch, etc. Check them out at www.ebth.com and call Victoria West at 312-330-2251 for more information.
H2H Movers: They moved me one block away! And many other clients have used them as they have very reasonable prices. Call Simon at 773-236-8797. They have plastic tubs for rent for “green” moves to avoid cardboard boxes. Check out www.h2hmovers.com.

OPEN BOOKS, a Literacy Foundation, does pickups of your more mass-market books for donation or you can drop it off at their Pilsen location or their drop boxes. Check out www.open-books.com
