You can’t expect your family to be organized if you don’t set a good example yourself
Figure out what can realistically work with your family and make it easy for them
Be clear about the tasks expected for your children/remainder of family
Provide storage options that have adequate room for the items to be housed there
My favorite: LABEL everything!
Make chore time FUN
Schedule a weekly family meeting to find out what’s working and what’s not
Hold items “hostage” until chores get done — giving motivation to your child to get their game boy back!
Let messy family members have a space of their own as long as they keep communal areas tidy
Adjust your attitude and maybe consider clean in your home is more important than neat or vice versa
