TERRI’S TIP JANUARY 2020

15 Things People Who Always Have Clean Cars
Have in Common

Hi readers, I never keep stuff in the visible part of my car and limit items in my trunk and want to help you with my tips and the tips from this interesting Reader’s Digest article.

From the article:
  • Keep a garbage bag handy and empty it every day.
  • Don’t use your car as a storage place.
  • Treat stains on upholstery immediately so they disappear.
  • Clean handles and knobs each week (especially with children with colds!)
  • Keep disposable wipes and cordless hand vac close by.
  • Use silicone cupcake holders in cup holders so when junk piles up, you can toss it and clean easily.
  • Store papers, receipts, coupons thoughtfully.

And for more tips and cleaning suggestions, click on article link below.

15 Things People Who Always Have Clean Cars Have in Common

My tips: Bring everything inside your home every day. I bring in my gym bag, organizing bag, groceries, purchases from drug stores.

Always throw out all your garbage and recycling anytime you have some. It just takes a minute to put the water bottles/soda cans, etc in the blue bin! Or bring them inside if you plan to reuse them.

As an organizer, I always want an empty trunk so I can cart someone’s donations away. I only keep reusable grocery bags in my trunk; return I might have so I can expedite stopping somewhere if I happen to pass by; and in the winter, necessary window cleaning tools.

In my glove box, I keep coupons because I’m usually in the car when heading to Bed, Bath & Beyond and the grocery store. I also keep spare napkins for spills or nose blowing, and a re-usable straw for an impromptu iced coffee or tea.

On the sides of my doors, I keep a spare umbrella and window cleaner and sponge.

In the middle console, I keep paper, pens, pencil and my mileage logbook.

The rest of my car is completely clean and tidy. And, I have everything I need. What do YOU keep in your car that you feel is essential or can you clean out most of your car and be happier? Please let me know!
