Garage Organizing during the nice summer months
This article gives great tips for products to buy to get and then keep your garage organized. The first step is literally during the nice summer months to pull every item out of the garage. Sort like items. Decide which ones you’ll keep by category and recycle / donate / give away to your local Buy Nothing or Next Door group (your discards could be someone else’s treasures) or call in the junk hauler. Sweep out the garage. Contain like items in labeled bins and consider getting shelving built or buy sturdy metal shelving found at any Home Depot / Lowe’s / Menards. Or overhead shelving as shown in the link. For rakes, shovels, baskets of sports equipment, ladder, tools, etc — mounting hooks or a pegboard system on the wall is the best option for the garage to stay organized and help you and the rest of the family find what you need. Or a tool tower as shown on link below if you don’t have as many items (perhaps you’re a single person household.)
