Keeping Your Car Neat and Organized
This article has great advice for keeping your car organized for running errands or for taking a road trip with kids and maybe even a pet or two. Please check out the pictures on the attached link below. Some of these hacks are genius.
Repurpose a clear hanging shoe organizer on the back of the front seats as a storage station so the kids in the backseat(s) have a place for a water bottle, toys, stuffed animals, snacks, coloring books, crayons.
Keep cupholders from getting grimy, filled with crumbs and food wrappers by inserting silicone cupcake liners which are removable to wash out.
Repurpose an old DVD case for the kids as a travel case filled with colored pencils, markers, crayons and drawing paper.
Take an IKEA remote control pocket organizer designed to be in a living room and mount it in your SUV under a seat with each pocket organized for the road trip — markers, water bottle, snacks, wipes, kleenex.
Use pretty tissue boxes to store small garbage bags and baggies which always come in handy for unexpected garbage and messes. And a place to store leftovers after a meal.
For long car trips, you will accumulate garbage that could be smelly — especially if you’re eating meals on the road. Put a plastic bag in a cereal storage container and position it in the back of your car that everyone can reach.
Put a laundry basket in the trunk before visiting the grocery store. Then you can carry multiple bags of groceries inside in one trip.
And there are some other hacks I’ll let you read yourself as they aren’t so organizing related but very good ideas.
